NXT:GEN Kicks Off in Austria

This weekend marks the official launch of the NXT:GEN Series 2026 by NIGHT of the JUMPs in the stunning surroundings of Westendorf, Austria. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Brixental mountains and as part of the renowned Bike and Fly Festival, the first stop of the series brings together the next generation of freestyle talent.

A total of 23 riders, including two female athletes, will spend two days training and competing alongside professional riders Alejandro Bon, Tom Pfeifer, and Jimmy Brand. During intensive coaching sessions, participants will improve their skills, learn from some of the sport's best athletes, and prepare for competition.

Following the training camp, all riders will compete in a qualification round consisting of three jumps. The top performers will advance to the final, where they will battle for victory and a unique opportunity: the winner of each NXT:GEN event earns an invitation to compete at an upcoming NIGHT of the JUMPs World Tour stop, performing in front of thousands of fans in one of the world's most prestigious action sports events.

The series continues immediately next weekend in Dresden, Germany, as part of the SZ Bicycle Festival and the VeloTour Dresden–Berlin. The season will culminate with the Grand Final in Dornbirn, Austria, on August 22–23, where the best riders of the series will meet to determine the overall champion.

The ultimate prize is extraordinary: the overall NXT:GEN Series Winner will receive a full NIGHT of the JUMPs Tour Contract for the 2027 season, providing a direct pathway from amateur competition to the international professional stage.

NXT:GEN stands for "Next Generation by NIGHT of the JUMPs" and was created to discover, develop, and promote the future stars of freestyle sports.

Due to the overwhelming demand and the limited number of available rider spots, registrations for the Westendorf and Dresden events are now closed. However, applications for the NXT:GEN Grand Final in Dornbirn are still being accepted.
